IB Exams May ‘08

IB exams begin May 5.  Before the exam, students will receive a pin number to access exam results on July 6.  It is important to keep this number, since I will not be on campus in July.

Seniors will also receive a transcript request form.  In order to have your IB scores sent to the college of your choice, you must turn the transcript request in to me by Monday, June 2. A request form is included below.

Skyline Excused Absence Procedure for  IB/AP Examinations

All students taking IB or AP exams are excused the day of the exam.

Students taking IB and/or AP exams in three or more different subject areas are excused the school day immediately before an exam (if it is in the same week) as well as on the day of the exam.  For example:

  • A student with an exam on Tuesday would be excused on Monday and on the exam day, Tuesday.
  • A student with an exam on Monday would not be excused the previous Friday.
  • A student with an exam on Thursday and Friday would be excused on Wednesday only, since he/she is already missing class on the following days.
  • If the day “immediately before the exam” is also an exam day, no additional days may be taken because the student is already out of school
  • Students may not “bank” absences.
  • Students do have the choice to attend any or all classes on those days when they are not in exams, or on the exam day itself.
  • Students are advised to check with their teachers in person or by email to find out what they are missing.

Skyline HS IB Exam Schedule May 08

All exams are held in the auxiliary gym.  Students must report on time—latecomers will not be admitted.  Students may bring water, but may not have snacks during the exam period.

Check with your teacher for the materials needed for each exam.
