Skyline’s
DECA at State
On Saturday, March 7th
141 Skyline DECA members traveled to the State Championships in Bellevue to compete
against over 2,500 students. Skyline’s chapter qualified more students to
the State event than any school over the 61 year history of Washington DECA, a
record they have owned and broken three years in a row. They captured
five first places including: Jay Farber in Marketing Management, Angela Muscat
in Fashion Merchandising, Lummy Lin in Hospitality
Market Research, Leslie Peng in International
Business Plan and Chad Manciagli in Internet Business
Plan. The students also took four seconds and seven thirds. At the
competition, Skyline qualified 41 students to the National Championships which
will be held in Atlanta
in April.
