Vocabulary Quiz on Wednesday!

1984 Reading Schedule May-June 2008

 

Reading journals will be checked at the beginning of class. Journals shall include the following required components EACH DAY:

1.      Language: One sentence quoted from the book, with page number, followed by a comment in which you analyze the way language is being used (diction, detail, tone, imagery, anecdote, figurative language, etc.)

2.      Character: One sentence each (minimum) about TWO characters (vary the characters)

3.      Plot: One sentence about the PLOT—summarize or predict

4.       Question: vocabulary, allusions, a passage you didn’t understand, etc.

Tuesday  6/17 9:00 a.m. Final exam. Multiple choice Scantron. Be sure to have studied everything on the review sheet. Have a GREAT summer and stop by to say "hello" in September when you are a junior :)
