What
Constitutes a Career Exploration Activity? (CEA)
Sophomores can fulfill their the Career Exploration Journal
requirement (Item #5) for their Culminating Project by participating in one of
the approved Career Exploration Activities listed below or another outside
activity that has been pre-approved by the Career Center. Once the activity has
been completed, the student will document their experience in the Journal Entry
area and save to their Bridges portfolio.
At Skyline
- Career Center Evening Presentations
- Career Center Brown Bag Lunches ( “Pizza and the Pros”)
- Career Center job preparation classes ( resumes, mock
interviews, applications)
- Career Center Special programming ( IGNITE, Apprenticeships
etc)
- College Visits to Skyline
- Career Speaker events within classes
- Career Speaker events through clubs
In the Community
- Job Shadow
( this must be arranged outside of the school day and pre-approved by the Career Center)
- Career
days, conferences and field trips
- “Connect to Your Future” (Fall every other year)
