Athletic Eligibility Information

 

To be eligible to turn out for athletics at Skyline HS, the athlete must turn in by the below scheduled deadline:

 

  • 7 Page Athletic/Activity Packet
  • Updated Physical-Which is good for one year (Form #5 of the Athletic handbook)
  • Purchase ASB card – $45 check payable to Skyline ASB (if at Pacific Cascade campus – purchase ASB card at PCFC).
  • Pay District Athletic Fee - $75 check payable to Skyline ASB (if at Pacific Cascade campus – pay sports fee at PCFC).
  • Once everything is paid and all forms turned in you will receive an eligibility card that you must present to the coach in order to try-out.

 

** Athletic paperwork turned in after the posted deadline may result in a delay in turnout.

 

Issaquah School District Athletic Academic Policy:

In order to participate in co-curricular athletics students must maintain a 2.0 GPA and pass all classes.  Grades are checked every 4½ weeks.  Failure to meet these criteria will result in athletic probation for a period of 2-3 weeks depending upon the deficiency.  Athletes will be allowed to participate in practice but will be prohibited from participation in contests until the probation period is over and the grade is passing.

New enrolled students, Running Start students or students from other schools must bring transcript showing grades at the time of signing up for a sport.

 

Deadline:

Fall 07-08

First day of football tryouts: August 15

First day of tryouts all other fall sports: August 20

Eligibility paperwork: Will only be accepted starting 8-8-07 from 9-12 daily August 8-14 for football

August 8-17 for all other fall sports

 

Winter 07-08

First day of gymnastics tryouts: November 5th

First day of tryouts for all other winter sports: November 12th

Eligibility paperwork: Will only be accepted before and after school, and at both lunches.

October 29- November 2nd for gymnastics

October 29 – November 9th all other winter sports

 

Spring 07-08

First day of tryouts: February 25

Eligibility paperwork: Will only be accepted before and after school, and at both lunches.  February 6-15. ** School is closed February 18-22 for 2nd winter break.
