Cheating/plagiarism:
A student
shall not attempt to earn credit or receive a grade for coursework
including but not limited to tests, quizzes, assignments, discs,
projects, and essays in a manner other than defined as acceptable by the
teacher. Cheating/plagiarism include but are not limited to, copying
another’s work to use as one’s own or making an effort to distribute
class assignments or test information without teacher permission to
another student (written or verbal). Any attempt by a student to
present work or ideas of others as his/hers, even if those students were
working together in a group or partnership, is considered cheating.
There is no initial leniency nor are there “degrees” of cheating. If
both parties are aware of the transgression, both will be disciplined.
If you fail to acknowledge borrowed material, you are plagiarizing.
