Here are a couple of websites with tips on how to study.  These are useful in any class.

Here is some suggestions for studying:

For Vocabulary Mastery 

Write out all vocabulary words.

Make-and use-flash cards. 

Write out words several times as you study them. 

Make a practice quiz before the real quiz. 


To Improve Your Understanding of Grammar 

Make sure that you understand the related English grammar first. 

Make up - and use - mnemonics (memory devices) and your own personal charts to memorize irregular forms. 

Learn prepositions, pronouns, etc. to the tune of a familiar song. 


To Improve Your Speaking Proficiency 

Speak Spanish to family members, friends, and even pets!

Teach family members and friends new expressions in Spanish.

Think to yourself in Spanish.

Listen to Spanish on TV, radio, videos, DVD etc.

Learn songs, poems, etc. in Spanish. Read magazines in Spanish.

AND REMEMBER... 

Begin your active learning of grammar and vocabulary immediately. If something confuses you, don't assume that your confusion will just "go away"-- get help from your teacher right away or go to the after tutoring in the library.

Don't wait until the day before the quiz or test  to study!

Get extra help from the teacher on confusing concepts and on study strategies.

Don't fall behind! Remember to get caught up if you've been absent.
